The Course

So here's the course....

Click on "View Full" to manipulate the view. "Satellite" view gives you the best picture of the setting.

Cross Country Easter 5K

You've been waiting for it and it's finally here:

Don't ask me why the Easter Bunny has a fiery butt - ask Jenny. It's her logo.

2:00PM in Flat Creek. The gun goes off at 2:30PM. Don't be late.

The course is well designed and looking great. We have off-cambered terrain:

Scotty Bauhs and Patrick Smythe - chicks dig them

We have awesome obstacles:

Molly Huddle - American 5K Record holder. Kind of cute, Very fast.

We have a bit of dirt road:

Bobby Curtis - kind of an "also ran" so far

And both kinds of hills:
Up
Down

And if the weather cooperates, maybe a little mud:

Amy Hastings - 2nd at LA marathon, 2012 Olympic Qualifier. Hard working runner

Two laps, 5 kilometers, all comers, all abilities, tons of fun.

Some of the pushy people (Bethany) want to know what to bring. Bethany is bringing Oreo Truffles because she hates loves us and wants to see us fat happy. The house will provide (at least):

Ribs
Allen's Momma's Cole Slaw
Deviled Eggs
Assorted beer

Everyone else is encouraged to bring whatever else they'd like. Even Bethany who is bringing a love offering of Oreo Truffles. And PBR.

Suggestions include:

Really Awesome Baked Beans
Chips and non-alcoholic beverages (sheesh, Allen already has his hand up)
PBR
Interesting and Visually Stunning Salad
Margarita Ingredients and Expendable Blender
Oreo Truffles
Something creative involving potatoes. Extra credit for including sweet potatoes. Extra credit for excluding marshmallows.
Good weather
Something trendy that we can tell our friends about to make them feel unhip and generally inferior.
Bread, right? We should always have some bread.

I think that should cover it. Let me know what you'd like to bring and I'll update the "Menu/Chef" list on the right. Just leave of comment here or post of the page wall in Facebook.
